Is website Live? widget

My hosting provider has been quite unreliable lately. I thought it would be really handly to have a Live widget that pings my websites maybe once a minute or so.
Then I thought it would be amazing to incorporate that with my visitors live stats.

What does everyone think of this? Is it something the community would be up for or is it out of scope forPiwik as a visitor tracking software?

Piwik is passive in that it does not make requests on its own - it just receives requests and tracks data. So I vote against just a feature.

In your case, such a feature wouldn’t make much sense anyway, as your Piwik is installed on the same domain as your normal website.
