I have installed Piwik on a production environment and it has started tracking data but the data captured is not correct i.e. for a single visit we are getting 9507 actions.
How can this be possible.
Also if I am launching the page at 07:36:50 the actions even show page loaded at 07:30:54 (for e.g) for the same visit.
What can be the reason for this.
Please help us to fix this issue.

Hi,
Yes I have installed Piwik in an intranet.
But because of this issue we again installed piwik 1.6 but still facing the same issue data is reflected on dashboard but when refreshed the data vanishes from UI and even from the database.
Using the customvariable concept we have tracked the employee id of the people visiting the website,since this will also be shown along with the actions done in the visitor log we had noted down the employee id,but once we had refreshed the page the data vanished we also checked the mysql db for the employee id and it was not present in the db.
We have used the session concept for getting the employee id and has passed this value to the custom variable.
Kindly help us rectify this issue at the earliest.,
