Importing from GA3 failing to import custom dimensions

We’re trying to import data from GA3, which includes several custom dimensions. They appear to be recognised by the import as they are re-created in Matomo, but no data is imported at all.

For example, we have a custom dimension dimension12 named “Product - Name”. If I use the Google API I get data returned, so I know there is accessible data:

eg: https://www.googleapis.com/analytics/v3/data/ga?ids=ga%3A[redacted]&dimensions=ga%3Adimension12%2Cga%3Adate&metrics=ga%3Ausers&start-date=2023-08-01&end-date=2023-08-31&max-results=10000

Can anyone suggest any reasons why this isn’t working? Not being able to import these is a real blocker for us moving forward.
