Import PIWIK database into other PIWIK instance

I’ve got a complete PIWIK database dump and need to analise it.

I think that the easiest way to achieve this goal would be to import this database into an instance of PIWIK of my own. However if I try just to install PIWIK and change the database configuration at config.ini.php to the one I’ve dumped it’s not going to work out.

I do not have access to the server that hosted the original PIWIK or its configurations.

I could live with the fact that I won’t be able to use PIWIK if I could decrypt de BLOBs otherwise. However using it and its plugins would be the better choice.

Can I achieve this goals?

It should work actually, did you try it?

Hey Matt, thanks for you answer. The dataset was incomplete and that’s why I was unable to work with that. The dump halted while exporting “piwik_log_visit” and I did not notice.

It’s now working. Now I have this doubt. Thanks for you help.
