IE 8 is recognized as IE 6

I’ve just setup piwik and was testing the installation, just to see that the two Internet Explorer 8 visits are logged as Internet Explorer 6. Both machines running Windows XP. With Windows 7 and IE 8 it is recognized correctly. Why or how could it be?

That’s odd. Go to: http ://whatsmyuseragent.com/ and post the UserAgent strings from your XP boxes.

Ah yes, the misbehaving addon is GTB (Google Tool Bar).

I’ll look into a workaround.

It’ll be included in the 0.6.3 release.
