I can not connect Matomo to Looker Studio

I tried the connection with my username and with the matomo URL but its sending me the same issue every time. Pls help :frowning:

Hello Stefan,
Yes. I tried every single option, but sometimes the error from above appears and sometimes it just tells me that my login credientials are wrong. I dont know excatly what to write for “username”. My profile URL is this

So what excatly is my username?

And of course you need an API token, not your Password.

Yes i already tried every option with the URL and also I already generated the token. So i really dont know what I can try

I just retried successfully. What I did:

  1. Login to Looker Studio and create a new data connection/source (deutsch “Neue Datenquelle erstellen”
  2. I wait until the “partner connectors” are loaded then select Matomo
  3. I copy my Matomo domain including https:// into user name field, without trailing slash and without a path. Just the domain. In your example it would be https://www.pumpe24.de
  4. In a new tab, I log into my Matomo, go to settings, personal, security and create a new token.
  5. I copy this token to the token field in Looker Studio (still in the dialog to create a new data connection).
  6. send
  7. select a site from my Matomo
  8. continue
  9. select a report
  10. click “connect” in top right corner
  11. done

Works for me.
