How to Integrate Matomo Analytics into my Website for Better Insights?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a website called lescobil.pk, where users can view their LESCO bill history and check their latest bills. I’m looking to integrate Matomo Analytics into my website to track user behavior and gain deeper insights into how visitors interact with the site.

I’ve already installed the Matomo tracking code on my website, but I’m unsure of the best way to set up goal tracking for specific actions like viewing a bill or searching for past bills. Additionally, I would love to know if there are any recommended Matomo features or plugins that could help improve the user experience and help me optimize the site for better engagement.

Has anyone here used Matomo for similar websites? Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Better engagement for the site? The ones i can think of ar the AB Testing and Heatmap extensions:

You’d want to track user engagement and then accordingly improve the site.

I’d say maybe AB Testing would be better suited, you’d split test the traffic, get insights, then use the winning version as the default one – bear in mind you need to have enough traffic to be a qualitative AB test.
