So I’ve spent half an hour clicking around on Matomo, 10 minutes finding outdated info on Google, and 5 minutes signing up for this forum. All I want to do is delete a goal - how do I do it?
I’m not the smartest guy in the world, but I’m not the dumbest - the fact that this is so hard to do is just mind-blowing to me. Does Matomo have any UX employees??

You go to “Manage Goals”:
and then click on the delete icon:

Ah okay, apologies, this is indeed a stupid mistake on my part. I didn’t see it because it appears that the Goals page is the only section of the interface that is not responsive. In order to see the trash icon, I have to scroll to the right, whereas for every other page, everything is resized to fit the window.
