How to adjust the left hand menu

Dear all,
is it possible to adjust the left hand menu (Dashboard to Marketplace)?
I.e to hide “Visitors” or one of is sub menu links?

I am aware that this must be possible for Marketplace, but found no hint, that this possible for the others as well.

You can disable marketplace plugin, or by developing a custom UI Theme.

Yes I’am aware of that. But my question actually concerns the other left hand menu points.
Is there a solution / configuration for them available?
