How can I track URL via Twitter/Facebook?

Hi everyone.

I am looking for tracking a link via Twitter/Facebook when a visitor go into web page.

Is it possible? Generate a link that Piwik would can to track?

Hi,

If you want to track visits from Twitter/Facebook to your website then campaigns is the way to go
http://piwik.org/docs/tracking-campaigns/
just insert campaign URL (you can use URL builder tool) to your Twitter or Facebook, and all your visits from that source will be tracked as campaign visits (you may use segments to filter campaign entrances)

Is it possible to reverse that? Say, I have an incoming link from a specific URL and i want to exclude visitors from that URL?
In other words, I do not want visitors to show up in my analytics coming from one URL?

You can do this with a custom segment: http://piwik.org/docs/segmentation/

create a segment “referrer name IS NOT facebook.com” - it should work?
