Hosting the HTTP API on a public server but the Matomo Dashboard Web Application Privately

Hi there,

I’m working at quite the security conscious company and they wanted me to find if there was a way which enables us to only host the Tracking HTTP API endpoint in a public facing environment and have the Matomo Dashboard Application on a private web server behind the firewall?

Any ideas as to whether this is possible?

tracker proxy might be an option for you: GitHub - matomo-org/tracker-proxy: HTTP proxy for Matomo's tracker API. This script allows to track websites with Matomo without revealing to your visitors the secret Matomo server URL.
