Hello, I have Piwik set up on my website - however, I’ve only installed the tracker on my homepage to follow a strict privacy policy for my users. I’m trying to set up goal tracking to track clicks on a button that directs to mywebsite.com - This website is for sale! - mywebsite Resources and Information. - however I can’t seem to figure out how to get Piwik to track those clicks. I’ve set up various different configurations just to try to get this one goal, the closest I’ve gotten to tracking is setting it to track external links to patterns that include “/button”. But this goal tracking only shows ONE conversion each day. I know for sure there are more conversions than just 1 each day.
Do you know how to fix this and get goal tracking to track accurately? I know Piwik tracks internal pages by visits, but “/button” does not have the Piwik tracking code installed, so it must be considered an external link. We cannot insert a tracking code on that page - only the homepage.
