GDPR Tools - Search for User ID - No results

I have been testing the GDPR tools and it seems when I search by User ID there are never any results.
To test this I browsed and saw my profile with the User ID set and grabbed the visitor id. When I searched for the visitor id everything worked and it showed my User ID in the results as well but if I just specify the User ID there are no results.
Am I doing something wrong?

Figured it out, the request was timing out, sadly the frontend doesnt show that, it just implies there were no results.
The User_ID field in the database also doesnt seem to have an index on my install which made searching much much slower, I added an interim index and it seems to have helped.
