For a custom varible, what is the "actions count" representing?

I created a custom variable to track the ‘role’ of the users accessing my product.

It seems to work great… I get unique visits… visits etc.

Curious what the ‘actions’ column actually represents?

Just pageviews?

If i’m sending up a bunch of custom trackEvent’s… does that somehow roll into this #?

I just can’t find any doc on it at all.

The column “actions” should count pageviews as well as events. If you think we should improve the guides, you may be right! can you please create an issue in Issues · matomo-org/piwik · GitHub with the guide pages you suggest we improve ?
