Fetching stats for Group of sites

Hi All,

For example I have 5 sites under a group Group1. Is there a way to fetch - through API - the stats (e.g. visits) collectively for all these 5 site under Group1?

Is there any other way around to get the stats (unique visitors) collectively for a particular category of pages?

This use case is usually implemented with custom variables see Custom Variables Analytics - Analytics Platform - Matomo

Per my understanding custom variables are related to a specific site. Please correct me if I am wrong.

What I have did to achieve this:

  1. Assign a group to every site: piwik_site.group
  2. Deployed a Sinatra application on PIWIK server which queries the piwik tables directly to fetch the unique visitors against a particular group

My mistake, In 301 Moved Permanently I thought you wanted to track groups of pages within one website.
