Error in stats calculation

Hi.

My stats are not adding up correctly.

Here are some sample stats given by my piwik installation:

  1. USA is 15000 visits,
  2. Canada is 6000 and
  3. Mexico is 500.

My total should be 21500 while Piwik says 21000.

Piwik does only count Canada and USA in north america while Wikipedia says there are 43 countries total… (see wikipedia here for reference: http:// List of sovereign states and dependent territories in North America - Wikipedia )

Is there a way to correct this?

Where are you totalling this up?

re: links. We use a whitelist and filter to discourage spam. wikipedia isn’t on the white list.

Yes, you can modify the file: http://dev.piwik.org/trac/browser/trunk/co…s/Countries.php

When you do it, can you please create a ticket, and put the link to references to justify the changes? Thanks!

I took a quick look at that page, and it includes countries/territories from Central America, the Caribbean, and US minor Outlying Islands. If you’re going to submit a patch, please cite a more authoritative source than Wikipedia.
