Is there a simple modification that can be made to track ecommerce and goals by visitor (idvisitor), rather than by visit (idvisit)?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was able to segment the live visitor log by visitConverted, which was a big step forward. Now we’re looking to sum the lost revenue (abandoned carts) by visitorID, since in effect, abandoned carts by visit (and returning visitor) can repeat the revenue lost and skew the metric. Taking a look at the code, this will simply be a plug-in modification, since the tracker logs more than enough data.
You maybe dont have to write a plugin. to get all visits with abandoned carts simply do: “&segment=visitEcommerceStatus==abandonedCart,visitEcommerceStatus==orderedThenAbandonedCart”
