I turned on eaccelerator on my server over the weekend. Things went smoothly, including with Piwik except on one page - clicking on a link from the search terms widget resulted in a hard crash of Apache with this error in the logs :
[1364] EACCELERATOR: PHP crashed on opline 6 of prepare() at C:\path\htdocs\piwik\libs\Zend\Db\Statement\Pdo.php:58
I haven’t been able to reproduce it yet, but it may be worth taking a look.
Sorry, we don’t support eAccelerator. First, it’s a PHP extension, not native PHP code, so it’s outside the scope of the Piwik project. Second, there simply isn’t enough debug information for us to troubleshoot, especially when it itsn’t reproduceable.
Understandable - and I was not expecting a resolution. Just reporting a crash 
If it happens again, I will look first into issues between Zend/PDO and eaccelerator rather than piwik.
