Custom dimensions by name?

Hi,

We have hundreds of sites, and some sites have added their own custom dimensions. So slot 7 in site 12 might be “partner name” when in site 13 slot 7 is “discount price”.

In our tracking code, we refer to segments by slot, e.g. customDimension7. Is there a way to refer to them by name in the tracker object?

It’s not possible to refer to them by name in the JS, only ID
