I’m trying to add custom dimensions across several apps. I noticed that once a custom dimension is created they are assigned an Id number according how many have been created before it. I was wondering how this would work across apps? If we have 3 custom dimensions in app A, if we add a new one to app B which doesn’t have any custom dimensions yet, would it be given id #4 or #1? Is there a way we can assign a specific Id number to the custom dimensions?

I think (but have not checked) that Custom Dimensions are working per site.
So you can create different dimensions or the same dimensions for every site you have set up in Matomo
In order to have similar configuration on all our websites analyzed by Matomo, we have created 60 custom dimensions and pre-reserved the 30 first ones to visit dimensions.
