I have a fairly new site which I am tracking with Google analytics with quite limited data so far.

Is it somehow possible to transfer raw log data from GA to piwik to keep continuity if I would switch?

Assuming you can get raw data logs from GA, then yes it’s possible. The only piece we don’t provide is a script that parses the GA logs and then calls the Piwik API.

It is not possible to get raw data from GA. When we have an API to push “summary” data (reports) in Piwik, we could imagine taking reports from GA and pushing them in Piwik.

However the first step of a push API is to provide the ability to push logs (visits, page views) rather than compiled reports.
