Connect to multiple Matomo Accounts

Hi there, as an agency we have access to multiple Matomo Accounts with different Logins. In Lookerstudio, the Username and Token are only shown once. Once this is set up, I could not find a way to change this data to get data from other accounts. Is there a solution for this problem?

The only current workaround is:

  1. Add another Google Account to the Looker Studio dashboard. Create one or use one of a client’s
  2. Authenticate the Matomo Connector under that Google Account
  3. Add as many Data Sources as needed
  4. Manage / Edit the Data Sources as usual with your agency Google Account

It’s a big bummer, until the dev team doesn’t add the capability of inserting more than one Endopint / Token pair in the Connector admin interface.

Is the method listed above still the only way to accomplish viewing multiple websites?

One workaround I found was the following

  • Create Google Looker API Matomo account with token
  • Give that user View permission for 1 website
  • Attach website to Looker and load page

Downside is you have to change access for the user and switch websites if you want to see the data.

So if I have 50 websites then I need to link each one to a different Google account?

Why can’t it use the matomo url and login name/token per website?

Looks like that’s still the case.

Here’s hoping someone will address the issue, possibly sooner than later :innocent:

Same issue here.

Does not make sense that you can not have more then one on premise server.

As far as I can see, the problem still exists… Right?
