Configure a MySQL reader database

Hi there,

We’ve been using Matomo v3 for about four years now and lately we’ve been trying to follow the guide here https://matomo.org/faq/how-to-install/faq_35746/ in order to configure a connection to a reader DB instance that is different, than the master MySQL database.

However, we are not seeing any database connections established to this reader MySQL database from our Matomo instance whatsoever; instead all the DB queries still hit the writer MySQL database and there are no errors in the logs either.

Any and all advise are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi folks - I just noticed this cul de sac question. @tsilopoulos , four years later, do you remember what happened next? Did you move forward and do you remember what worked?
