It’s made for software like Piwik.
It’s fast (much faster then any other databases), scalable (PBs), Fault Tolerant.
ClickHouse support can be a killer feature of Piwik.

Unfortunately supporting another database than MySQL is going to be a huge project and I don’t think that the core Piwik team has time left for it.
But if you wan’t to help adding support you can contribute code or sponsor a developer.
