Can't get segmentation with custom variables to work, even on the demo

it is a bit of a mystery to me… perhaps I’m doing it wrong ?

I tried this URL : Matomo Forums - Friday, January 12, 2018 - Web Analytics Reports - Matomo

which is basically the default “visitors” URL of the demo, with this added :

&segment=customVariableName1==Forum%20status;customVariableValue1==Anonymous

it gives me a blank line, even when I view the entire year

what am I doing wrong ?

It’s because we store this custom var in the slot 3 (look in the source code of this page)

So the correct url is: Matomo Forums - Friday, January 12, 2018 - Web Analytics Reports - Matomo
