Hello,
I updated MySQL v.8 software, that is:
I started Oracle’s ‘MySQL-Installer Community 1.6’ to start necessary updates.
MySQL-Installer updated the several parts, such as:
MySQL Server was version 8.0.19 → updated now to: version 8.0.27 .
Since then, when I surf to my Matomo-based site I get the error:
“An error occurred
Cannot connect to the database:
SQLSTATE[HY000] [1159] Got timeout reading communication packets
This may be a temporary issue, try refreshing the page. If the problem persists please contact your Matomo administrator.”
So now, I get this error for my Matomo-based website for my Moodle-based website, which both use MySQL version 8.
By means of MySQL-Installer Community, I tried reconfiguring MySQL Server 8.0.27 in several ways:
a) Run ‘MySQL-Installer Community’ As Windows Administrator.
b) Config Type: Server Computer.
c) Authentication Method: Use Legacy Authentication Method (retain ySQL 5.x Compatibility).
MySQl Installer says that MySQL Server configuration was successful, but it does not seem to remember my changes.
Another of my websites (Piwigo) runs properly with MySQL v.5.7.23, so it has to be a MySQL v.8 problem, I guess.
The two MySQL v.8.0.27 websites do not run anymore.
My 2 DataBase Management Systems (HeidiSQL and MySQL Workbench 8.0 CE) work fine and can open all databases (Matomo, Moodle and Piwigo).
Do you have a clue what causes the error? Can you help me, please?
