Can I use multiple siteIds on a single domain?

Novice user speaking. I would like to use Piwik to track analytics for a set of pages managed by individuals (sort of like Facebook-pages). Would it be sufficient to have a single piwik install and use separate siteIDs for each of these sites ?

The idea is that every page owner could get ‘micro’-analytics for his/her page using the API or by showing a widget on its admin section containing the correct siteID …

This is working fine. I have a blog in a subfolder with a different SideID and can track the main site and the blog individually.
