Basic Export from Dashboard

I cannot figure out how to do a basic export from dashboard. Whenever I select the little floppy disk icon (“Export this dataset in other formats”), it does not “export this dataset in other formats”, but instead exports some other dataset. For example, when I try to export “visits over time” in “TSV”, I get an Excel spreadsheet with tons of stats (none of them “visits over time”.

it should work fine, it works for me on demo.piwik.org

can you explain clearly what you do and what does not work, ifyou still have the issue?

I figured it out now. The export exports everything, not just the dataset I requested. So then I need to go into the export and find the particular dataset I was looking for.
