I want to track my newsletter via Piwik. My Problem is that the systems to view a newsletter and to view a website are completly different.
My Idea is something like that:
Every Picture in my newsletter got a uniqe id. So if somebody open it and load the images I want to track an event.
The links in the newsletter are also uniqe so I can identify the visitor on the webpage and piwik can identify the user (already visited our webpage, etc etc etc…).
My question is: Can I assign the event (newsletter view, already tracked) to the user (newsletter click -> visit page)? And if yes: How?
