API Access only

Hi all,

We’ve been using PiWik in a few of our platforms now and we only access the data via API (at the moment) rather than the PiWik dashboard. There are a number of settings in PiWik about clearing the reports from the DB, but is it safe to clear the reports tables? Does the API only access the raw data in the tracker and metrics tables? What about the archive tables - are these needed for the API?

(I’m classifying the tables in the same way as the DB Stats plugin)
