Anyone know what is the core.xxxxxx file for? Each file is around 15mb, so far it taking up 2gb of space.
Can I clear it? Do I need to disable anything to prevent it from generating ?
Will it auto purge ?
Sounds like a process segfaulted and left a core file.You can try using gdb to find out which process and maybe some symptoms.
You’ll have to remove these yourself. You may be able to disable core dumps. Ask your sysadmin.
