Adding an Easy Backup-Possibility

Hey,
I really like Matomo,
but to say the true I am all the time a feared, that something happen and I don’t have a really backup. Is there maybe a possibility to add an easy feature to make a dayle backup and maybe only store the last 10 backups or so?

Also it will be great if there will be an easy possibility to install the backup also if there is no access to matomo possible anymore.

Do you think this is possible?

Regards

Yes, a simple backup solution would be extremely helpful. Most website owners are not server administrators. Simplifying such tasks as backup would definitely help the adoption of Matomo. As it is now, it can be quite intimidating for many people.

The Matomo WordPress plugin does make Matomo more user-friendly, but I prefer not to use it, because it affects the performance of the site and increases significantly the database.

A simple backup plugin would be very nice. Just look how easy it is to backup a WordPress site.

Then I think this is a good idea for a new feature request:
