I setup Piwik on a wordpress site a couple days ago.
Everything is setup correctly, however I am using a plugin named Ultimate Coming Soon Page, which of course enables a coming soon page which I have active. Anyone know of a way to track the hits while the coming soon page is enabled? I have the tracking code in the footer file for the theme, but I am guessing I need to add the tracking code in a certain file that the coming soon page plugin loads from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Adding the code in theme footer should work. Are you not seeing any data?
Actually just figured it out. I tried footer and couple other files but what finally worked was putting the tracker code in the ‘template-coming-soon.php’ file located in the ultimate coming soon plugin folder. Now it tracks visitors who view the coming soon page! Issue solved!
