Will matomo support 2FA Yubikey?

Hi there,

just curious. Will matomo support the FIDO U2F Security standard for Two-Factor and passwordless authentication 2FA? I would love use my Yubikey to increase security.

Hi,

Officially by the Matomo team: Probably not soon. At the moment all work is focused on getting Matomo 4 done, so it will take quite some time until someone will be able to do this.

But I think this would anyway better fit a plugin and it should already now be possible to write a plugin that does this. (Just like the TOTP-2FA also was a plugin at first)
