I’m getting an error message in red when I load but it’s very general (“There was a problem during the request”). Don’t see any real problems in a system check (other than Mysql packet size, which I don’t think I can change)
I have about 9 sites - when I load Matomo the website dropdown doesn’t populate - and I have to navigate to “All websites” to change sites.
Matomo version: 5.1.1
MySQL version: 8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3
PHP version: 8.1.27
So I went in first to see if the directory exists, and it does. Next I went to read the instructions for the log writer - change the config file, etc. And I see some warnings there about don’t do this on a production server. Luckily for met Matomo metrics aren’t really critical to what I’m doing, so I’m just going to ignore this bug since I can get around it, and I don’t really want to spend a lot of time fixing this. I’m not complaining - I’m using this software for free. Was just looking to see what might be wrong.
So I didn’t change anything - but today for some reason the Matomo installation is back to normal! Maybe it was something done by my service provider, Dreamhost
