Hi,

I have two questions.

  1. We are using custom variable to capture Gender (M/F). In the process, gender gets captured on Page 3, but during a normal visit the user has to navigates from page 1.
    During the Page1, he is captured as ‘Unknown’ due to the non-availability of Gender, however in the later part of navigation his ‘Unknown’ should be converted to M/F as per his selection.

As of now piwik reports the person as both i.e. Unknown & M/F. Any suggestions.

  1. Number of visits by Male and Female are showing up in the Custom variables tab but the total visits against Custom Variable are blank. What could be the problem.

If you use a custom variable of scope “visit” it will count only one gender per visit. Can you try that?
