Has anyone gotten this to run successfully? When I hit the generateVisits.php through web browser, the page never loads and no data is generated. I am logged in as the super user and I am running Piwik 0.4.1 . Any ideas?
In misc/generateVisits.php, change $minVisitors and $maxVisitors to something lower, e.g., 200. (That took about 3 minutes on my desktop machine, so you can only imagine what 20,000 would be like…)
Note: this will generate pseudo-random data for website ID 1. When you’re done evaluating Piwik, you can re-run the installer to delete these tables, and create fresh ones for collecting real-world visits.
