Upgrade using Shell

Hi,

I’m trying to upgrade my Piwik installation from 1.8.3 to 1.9 using the Shell, with no success. Nothing happens, no error message and no upgrade. The command takes about 1 second to run.

What’s the problem?

Maybe it’s already done, have you tested the UI if it says it still needs an install?

Yes, I already checked in the UI, it still says it’s using 1.8.3 and needs an upgrade.

I may have made the same mistake you have. You need to upgrade Piwik first (using the webinterface). After that you can run the command in your shell to upgrade the database.

This command is for upgrading the database only!
