My problem,
trying to update piwik with getting a message like this:

salt = d5074a8430961bdc125daf7f74e63c60

After placing this into the config.ini.php and “upgrading” again I get a similar message and so on.
Will there be an end one time? Or is there a solution or is it the wrong way?

Add it to the [superuser] section of your config.ini.php, not your [database] section.

I found it within the same file and now it works I think.
