There is the error:

Kritischer Fehler während dem Upgrade-Prozess:

/var/www/web1/html/piwik/core/Updates/0.5.php:
Error trying to execute the query ‘CREATE INDEX index_type_hash ON piwik_log_action (type, hash);’.
The error was: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1142 INDEX command denied to user ‘webxx’@‘localhost’ for table ‘piwik_log_action’

same error here on 5 web packs and my provider does not want to give the rights for the “INDEX command”.

How can I fix it? Is there any possibility for you to update the script not using this command? Maybe also a feature request for the next version?

Ask you web hosting provider to run the SQL for you, or find a better web hosting provider.
