Anybody else having problems installing even a clean install of 1.8.3?
I’ve not had any problems in the past but the latest update can’t even get to the install wizard. When I try to update manually, the same errors are occuring. File permissions has been checked (match existing install of v1.8.2).
What errors exactly?
also please check your server error log files which will contain more info
Ah… yep it appears to be a file permission setting.
piwik/index.php was set to 664 not 644
but that’s also the case throughout the directory structure except for folders that are set to 775.
I wonder if permissions were ignored on extraction or if they were’t set properly on the build. I used cPanel’s File manager to extract and have not usually had any problems with permissions not be set correctly.
