Tracking e-commerce shop in iframe

Hi all,
We are posting with reference to a post initiated by krishna (http://forum.piwik.org/read.php?2,85370), that unfortunately does not resolve our problem. Since we fear that our post in krishnas post might go unnoticed we are posting this in a new topic.

We are experiencing very similar problems to krishna with regards to tracking a site within an iframe:

We have an e-commerce website that is shown through an iframe within the website of a partner. We control the entire code within the iframe and have included the tracking code in the template that controls all pages played out to the iframe. The server call to the piwik server is displayed in the status bar as the page builds up. We have also included the domain of our partner as well as our domain in the settings in piwik.

Nevertheless no traffic is tracked in piwik. Since our previous analytics tool showed more than 400 visits per day this is highly unlikely.

Any ideas what may be wrong? Any additional details required for analysis?

Thanks for your answers and help.

the piwik JS tag must be in the page INSIDE the iframe, below the /body> tag of the site in the iframe

Hi matt,
thanks. We will try that. Our programmer is currently busy with an even higher priority but will get round to it soon. Interestingly enough, all https:-requests from within the iframe are now being tracked, since shared SSL has been installed by the hosting partner. http:-requests are still not being tracked and we hope, this is solved once we put the tracking code in the recommended location.
