Hi, we’ve already started to use piwik (latest version) and even when it is basically working, we’ve found out that piwik response is not is returning the tracking cookie that I’d say it should be named something like _pk_id.[siteId].
Is there anyone out there who can provide some ideas about what we may be doing wrong?
The basic statistics like visit count and actions are being collected however I do not get any about visitors or anything like that and I suspect that it is related to the fact that no tracking cookie is being returned.
If set “use_third_party_id_cookie = 1” I do get this one.
As a side note, I should also mention that piwik is deployed on a different application domain. The application being tracked is on myapp.company.com and piwik is on piwik.internaldomain.net.
Any idea to resolve the issue will be highly appreciated!
