Tracking a page on a different server

I have 2 web servers but I only want to install piwik on 1 of them but track both servers. I’ll call the server without piwik Web1 and the server WITH piwik web2. Both servers are IIS 7.
If I add the tracking code to a page on web2, everything works. I put the code on a page on web1 and made sure that it’s using the domain name and not an IP address for the web2 server. Does web1 need special requirements? I know the piwik server needed php. Do I need to install php on web1?

No, just integrate the javascript-tracking-tag in Web1’s Websites and enjoy analytics.
