I use Matomo with the mediawiki extension. If I installed a second instance of Matomo and set its release channel to beta, could I get my extension to feed both? If so there would be very little overhead in this and I wouldn’t mind doing it…

You can track Matomo data into two instances by following this guide (just using two tracking codes won’t work)
If you want to know how to do this with the Mediawiki extension, you’ll probably need to ask the author of the extension.
