you can change the default template in Piwik’s folder on /themes/default/
If you wonder about the tpl file. They are template files coded with Smarty Template Framework.
Right now Piwik doesn’t provide any template other than the default. Let’s see what future bring to us style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
