when i am trying to install the actual version of piwik on my webserver, i always get following error message:
Error while trying to connect to the database server:
SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-13' at line 1
the step ‘systemcheck’ at the start of piwik installation shows no problems.
whats the problem in this case?
what step do you get this message? just after system check?

at step 3 after submitting (correctly) my db configuration. and yes, it’s the full error message. i cant find the problem here.
Please check the web server logs. For apache, this would be error.log (e.g., /var/log/apache2/error.log)
