Some questions about Piwik traffic

Hi everybody,

I installed Piwik on my website but have some questions about it.

  1. Does it use a lot of bandwith on your site?
  2. Does it take a lot of space/memory in the MySQL database?
  3. Does it make your site load (and work) slower?

I have a site with around 500 unique visitors a day and around 6.000 pageviews a day.
Can somebody answer my questions please? Thank you!

  1. No, I have Piwik and the tracked sites on the same server.
  2. The database is growing fast and getting bigger each day. What is a lot for you?
  3. I don´t see any effects to site speed. But this depends on your server/webspace.

It’s only a small webspace I have:

  • 450 MB webspace (inclusive database)
  • 25 GB bandwidth/month

I have 1024 MB of disk space wich doesn’t seems to include databases.
I have only 3 GB of bandwidth per month.

A few weeks ago, i was around 2 GB used only on the sub-domain where Piwik is installed.
I dont know why.
