[Solved] Trouble accessing Piwik setup page

Good afternoon,

I’ve been tasked with setting up Piwik on our company intranet but I’m having an issue accessing the setup page. I’ve followed the installation guide (I think correctly) and have searched the FAQ and help topics here but haven’t been able to find a solution to my issue.

I have created a very basic intranet using Expression web and this sits on a local server (Windows Server 2008 R2) which is in our server room. I have copied the files to our intranet into it’s own subfolder (Piwik). Following the installation guide I try to access http://companyintranet/piwik but all I get presented with is a file structure showing the files in the /Piwik folder (I’ve attached a screenshot to help show what I mean).

Can anyone see where I’m going wrong? I installed Piwik a few years ago on a wordpress site that I made and didn’t have any issues whatsoever. I’m a complete novice when it comes to websites/webdesign although I have an OK tech knowledge in general. I spent most of Friday and all of Saturday trying to work out where I’m going wrong but I’m still sat here feeling stupid that I can’t even do what seems like a very basic install.

Thank you for reading,
Gareth

I’ve now managed to resolve this issue. In case anyone finds this that has the same problem I did I’ll detail my fix below.

The web server we are using is IIS7. It looks to have been an issue with IIS7 not proccessing PHP requests. I followed the steps in the below link and now when I access http://companyintranet/piwik/ the installation window appears as it should.
