'Server has gone away' error 3.5.1

Hi there,

I’m trying to run a report to find average time spent on an Intranet page. When I run the report I receive the following message:
WARNING: /data/www/vhosts/piwik/core/Tracker/Db/Pdo/Mysql.php(231): Warning - PDOStatement::execute(): MySQL server has gone away - Matomo 3.5.1 - Please report this message in the Matomo forums: https://forum.matomo.org (please do a search first as it might have been reported already)

Has anybody had a similar problem / found a fix?

Also I’d recommend you to update your Matomo instance to a recent version.
